--To Space and Back--
-A Fulldome film by Sky-Skan Inc. and the Franklin Institute-I was the lead animator on this film responsible for numerous aspects of production. I aquired and prepared models, improving detail for the demanding 8Kx8K immersive fulldome cinema format. I handled the majority of shot blocking and camera animation. I did nearly all shading preparation and lighting for CG scenes. I created a steregoraphic pipeline for 3D fulldome viewing and converted flat-screen fisheye imagery into stereo 3D. I was responsible for the software management of the render farm and assisted with hardware maintenance as well as oversaw all image output, quality control and base composite work. I attended festivals and gave demonstrations of techniques created/used for this film and presented both the film and the pipeline to audience members and technically minded production groups. This film won a multitude of awards including multiple audience choice selections on the festival circuit in addition to being the first 8kX8k, 60FPS, stereographic-3D film available to audiences all over tyhe world.
